Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice

Not too much quilting going on these days so this isn't a very quilty post.  A bunch of people have asked to see the nursery so here are a few pictures.  The furniture hasn't been delivered yet, but here's what we have so far:

My husband loves giraffes :) The dresser and crib will go on the wall to the right of the picture.  We also hung  these cute moon and star decorations my mother-in-law bought us at a craft show.

I can't wait for the furniture to be delivered!!!

My friend picked up the baby quilt yesterday and, Hallelujah!, she loved it!  I've never know what to charge for quilts and hadn't heard what others charged.   What do you charge?  I charged her $120 and she paid me $140.  I was quite surprised with that! :)  I'm calling this quilt "Fabuland".  Does anyone else remember these legos?  I loved them.

And lastly, since I'm a pumpkin obsessed pregnant woman, here is another recipe I made today for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.  Soooo yummy!  Here's the link to all recipes where I found the recipe.  The only thing I changed was I used 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice instead of 2 teaspoons cinnamon.

Oh and I almost forgot!  Thank you for everyone's well wishes.  Some of you might remember that I was being monitored for a partial placenta previa.  Well at my last ultrasound, the placenta moved out of the way!! Now I'm cleared for a regular delivery and I won't have to schedule a C-section.  Life is good :)

Hmmm....how many cookies is it acceptable to eat today?

The room is looking great and quite quilty! I love that rocker. My sister has one like it and it is so comfy. I know you can't wait to rock your sweet little one in it! Congratulations on your baby quilt sale - maybe it made up for the one that didn't work out - and you might be able to sell that one too. Also glad to hear the placenta has moved for you.

I'm so glad everything is going well all around. Your nursery is so bright and airy! Perfect! Those cookies look scrumptious - I'll have to exercise a bit of self control now, thanks for nothing! :)

Wish I had those cookies right now; I don't have a cookie in the house tonight!
The little quilt is so cute; I love the backing too. I'm glad its sale went so well. I wouldn't have known how to price it either.
The quilt on the wall is the one I really love. I remember when you first showed it to us, and I loved the border then, and I still do! I'm glad you will be using it in the nursery. ---"Love"

What a sweet little nest you're creating, baby is going to be surrounded with lots of love and good things. :)

Rule #1 for pregnant women is: don't come between her and the toilet, and #2: let her eat whatever she likes!

You can eat them all, but save one for me :) I remember drinking the spiced pumpkin drink out of starbucks when pg with Aubrey! Love how the nursery is coming together.I charged 200 pounds for the quilt I made (about $350) still for the ammount of time it took not that much but I couldn't charge more lol

Your nursery decorations are looking nice and I imagine the furniture is fantastic, too!. I don't remember those Legos, but my parents didn't let us have them (I'm not sure if they didn't want to step on them all the time of were just being penny pinchers), but those are too cute.

I love to look at nurseries, I find them so peaceful. Yours looks great and I really like the quilts. I'm not a pumpkin person, but the cookies look really yummy. Go ahead indulge. I haven't been very good lately at keeping up. When is baby due? Take care of yourself. Connie204

The baby's room is looking so good. Love the quilt on the wall. The baby quilt looks so soft and cuddly there on the rocker.
I don't remember those legos, not sure how I missed them because I think I liked legos more than my kids did.
Glad everything went well with the guilt sale. It came out really cute and it sounds like your friend liked it too!
Your pumpkin posts are making me want something yummy!

What a cute room. I am finally catching up with life and so excited for you. I went yesterday to buy canned pumpkin and it was literally cleared out-have you been to our store?
I am so excited for you.

I like giraffes too. The room is looking good so far. The moon and star are so cute! The baby quilt turned out so well and it seems like a fair payment. The pumpkin cookies look terrific. I bet they tasted good too. Glad to learn that things are going well. Ann :-)
