Over the summer I made a few projects from Lotta Jansdotter's book Simple Sewing for Baby. One of the projects was a swaddler. It turns out Emily will only sleep when swaddled (Lord help me when she starts rolling over and we can't swaddle her anymore!!) So, I made her a new snazzy swaddle wrap for daycare. It was sort of pre-daycare therapy to make something cute for her. Of course, this project took forever to finish!! hahah!
Here she is swaddled in her bassinet:
Sleep? What's that?
Check out this wild animal!Once again, I would highly recommend this fun book. This is a great simple project (as long as there is no baby around).
Stay warm everyone! 9 more weeks until spring!

Very cute. Both baby and swaddler. And here I thought there was some magical, secret way to wrap a blanket that was the only way to swaddle a baby into naptime...I guess that shows you I don't have any little ones of my own!
That is sew very cute and so is she! What a little ham for the camera! That looks like a great idea. I have also seen for older babies a kind of sleep sack. It has a sleeveless yolk that velcros at the sholders and is a kind of bag on the bottom. It is so kids stay covered up when they are old enough to roll over and they can sleep without a blanket to get tangled up in. It is good to hear from you and we always enjoy pictures!
Oh, so cute! I tried to leave a comment on your first post, but it wouldn't take. She is really beautiful and I love the swaddler.

Oh my; just look at those pretty eyes! What a beauty she is! The swaddler cloth is so cute, and I'm sure it makes her feel much more secure and warmer! Great idea! ---"Love"
So cute! Welcome back to blogging.
Aw bless her! Neither of mine liked being swaddled, and Angus is already starting to kick off his blankie!
You've done a great job, and Emily looks so pleased with the result. ♥
I had to teach my daughter about swaddeling...I think it saved their sanity in the beginning;) I know it worked wonders with my kids;)
I love all the little goodies you have put together for her;)
Happy Quilting!!
love love love the swaddler, I know a preemie that could do with a few.
Emily is so beautiful Christine! Congratulations!!!
She is so cute! Congrats! I hope she lets mom sleep every once and awhile...
I am reminded of 'Snug as a bug in a rug', although Miss Emily is so much cuter than any bug. She is adorable!

She is so cute and I love the swaddler. I will have to think about making one for my next grandbaby, if I get anymore. Good to see your back and that both baby and Mom are doing great. Connie204
