Moving along

Hello out there my long lost blogging buddies!  How I miss you all! I hope you all had wonderful Christmases and New Years!

As expected, life has been absolute craziness since little Miss Emily came along.  With her coming 5 weeks early, life was turned upside down even more than expected.  I'm happy to say she's growing as she should and sleeping (a little) more each week.  I have one more week left on my maternity leave- eeeek!!  I'll be going back to work 3 days a week, but working two 12 hr days.  I'm not sure how I'm going to manage.

I haven't done any quilting except this little quilt that I made for her for her first Christmas. Its all my favorite scraps and took me an extraordinary time to make.
 And here's the back:
She's had lots of photo shoots with her new quilt:  Here's Christmas morning:
Wearing the dress I wore for my first Christmas (it was cold so she just wore it over her onesie):
And stretching out:

Happy 2011!!

I was just wondering the other day where you'd gone to. I imagine a little one takes up so much of your time, so I wasn't too worried, but I'm so glad to see your post! Miss Emily is adorable and her quilt is so sweet. Good luck going back to work. I'm sure you'll manage just fine once you get the hang of the new schedule.

welcome to motherhood!!!

Going back to work...oh, with Regi it was easy, she was such an independent little thing I had no problem leaving her wiht daddy, but Hazelnut, I cried the first time I had to leave her. I still have a hard time sometimes. Both are normal reactions.

it's amazing how a little person takes up so much time, space, and energy isn't it? But so wonderful!

Happy New Year Christine! It's so good to hear from you, and I'm so glad Emily is doing well. She's just beautiful! I'm sure Christmas was extra special for you this year. I understand how spare time is just about non-existent for you right now, so I completely understand if we see less of you for a little while. It doesn't mean you aren't thought of!

What a sweetie Miss Emily is! And in your pretty red dress, she's most likely the best present you received! Glad to know she's progressing well. That last picture makes me want to pick her up and give her a hug! ---"Love"

Oh, she is such a little sweetie! Babies are so cute, especially other peoples babies. Yes, those first trips back to work are hard, separation anxiety is high. For you, not so much for the little one. It will pass and someday you will even look forward to getting out by yourself for a bit! The quilt is very cute. Enjoy that little one and it is so good to hear from you. Keep in touch so we can watch her grow!

Hello dear little Miss Emily! I've been thinking of you lately and wondering how you were going. The little Christmas dress and quilt is so sweet!

Such a shame you have to go back to work, but I guess your clients will be glad to see you again!

So adorable!!! I envy you all the sweetness but not the sleep deprivation. Enjoy every moment. Best of luck with the back to work thing. I am sure you will miss her bunches.

Little Miss Emily is lovely. So nice to know that she is thriving, even if Mom and Dad are still trying to catch up. Emily's first quilt is adorable, too. Good luck to you.
