Quilt history/finished table runners

I finished my table runners this morning and I'm loving the spring look.
Julie
has started to organize a modern quilt guild here in Philly and it looks like it will be at a time I can actually go! Yay! I'm so excited to meet some quilters in the area. I started a new blog roll for everyone who is signed up and has a blog.

Ok so get ready for a whole lot of pictures. At Ann's request, I'm going to post my quilt history. (Like I really need a reason to post pictures of quilts! hehe)

So here it goes in chronological order. I hadn't realized how many baby quilts I've made!

The quilts of 2006: Get ready for some wavy quilting.
I started quilting in 2006 when I finished graduate school. It all started with a class "quilting for dummies".
Then came Christmas Snowmen:

The quilts of 2007:
Quilt Sampler (my first foray into hand quilting):
Star Wheel:

Matching NFL quilts for my hubby and brother:
Lets Go Fly a Kite:
Peas in a Pod:
Diamonds for Memom (my grandmother in law):
Quilt for my aunt and uncle (never got around to naming this one):
The quilts of 2008:
Paisley and polka dots (twins):
Kaliedoscope (my first mega hand quilting project- 1" grid, then 1/4" around each piece in the border):

Star spangled banner and some coffee too: (backed with coffee fabric for my best friend):
Birds in the Air for my mother-in-law:
Puppy Love:
Sweet Pea:
Road to Connecticut for my mom:
Front-

Back:Peace on Earth for my Grandma:
The quilts of 2009:
Home sweet home:
Lily Pads & Polka Dots:
Spring Fling- my first bed sized quilt:
Two little kittens:
Dots Nice (minkee back):
Under & over the sea:
Little Sailor:
And last but not least- you saw it already. Vertigo for my mom:
Phew!

Works in progress:
French General bed quilt- I still need to order border, binding and backing fabric. Then I can get that off to the quilter.

Fireside chat: Yeah, I haven't really done much hand quilting these days. I think I've done about 9 of 42 blocks.

What a wonderful collection of quilts! I had seen some of these when I followed the APQ blogs, but hadn't seen the more recent ones - fabulous!

You've come a long way from "quilts for dummies!" I've seen quite a few of those, but a few that I hadn't I really love. "Kaleidoscope" is probably my favorite.

I could not pick a favorite either! You made great progress in a big hurry. Your piecing is great. Thank you for the quilt show.(And I did not even have to get sore feet haha).

They are beautiful. I love the last one there, but they are all lovely. Well done!

All are wonderful, but the last one has to be my favorite. Why? Because it looks like an antique quilt of course!

OK, Stitch, you gotta let me know about this quilt guild thingy! I would absolutely love to meet other quilters. Your quilts are all wonderful and I love looking at them. Someday I will have a little show like that. Liri

How wonderful to see all your quilts again Christine! You have made so many things in such a short time. I still have Star Wheel on my to-do list. I like that quilt very much but you have so many good ones here. Thaks for the retrospective. (Guess I'd better do mine then...) Happy Stitching, Ann :-)

Wow! What a wonderful collection of patterns and fabric. You have a real history already...
Your runners are a delightful reminder of spring. Isn't it amazing that your choice of fabrics gives the runner an oriental garden kind of look? Mary

Incredible! What a tremendous amount of work you have gotten done! I LOVE the colors you put together.... I am also very impressed that you are keeping a photo record of all of them. I have some photos of old quilts, but most of them I did not keep until I got a digital camera. I also did not label quilts (how bad is that?) until I came to Texas. So everything not labeled is "prior to 2002". Every now and again someone reminds me of an old quilt that I have forgotten I have even made. Looking forward to more fantastic quilts from you! :) Theri

Peas in a Pod is still being well loved. I still can't get over the colors. They are so perfect. You have a great eye for that.
