Truly Snowbound

It is snowing and snowing and snowing!!!  Silly groundhog and his silly shadow!

Here is Mr. January from Anne's Snowbound BOM over at Bunny Hill Designs.  He is just loving this weather.

Since I'm not going anywhere today and since my fusible interfacing came in the mail yesterday, today is a good day to start my cousin's T-shirt quilt.  Until I have to go out and shovel anyways!  I was having a hard time finding the interfacing in the quantity/thickness I wanted until I found the website of Goose Tracks quilts.  Cathy custom makes T-shirt quilts but also sells the fusible sheerweight interfacing in varying yardage.

For all of you on the east coast- stay warm and safe!

I am enjoying the snow in the area too, Christine. Time to start sewing.

Your snowman is really cute. Stay safe in the real snow, and enjoy your bonus time to work on the T-shirt quilt. -Joanne

I'm freezing here in Texas just from reading your post, and also watching the FoxNews Weather reporting! I cannot imagine having to shovel snow like that! Do be careful and stay warm. I hope you don't lose electric service! You better be dragging all those nice warm quilts! ---"Love"

Oh, I remember snow like that. Until 4 1/2 years ago I lived in one of the northern suburbs of Chicago. We use to get some really good ones. Now in New Mexico, we get snow but it usually melts pretty quickly so we don't get the accumulation like you do. We have another storm coming through here in a day or so, so you may see more in a few days, too. Stay warm, be careful shoveling and enjoy your quilting time. Spring will get here eventually!

Oh, yes, love your little snowman!

He's gorgeous Christine! That background fabric looks terrific. You know I worship snow from afar. We are having lots of rain but it's still hot and humid. Happy Stitching, Ann :-)

Looks great Christine! I wish I had the excuse of snow to be able to sit and sew, mind you this summer heat keeps me indoors anyway!

PS. They're showing the US blizzards on the news right now - not wonder you're shovelling!!!

You all are having the winter we had last year. Hope it doesn't stay long but looks like you have some fun things to keep you busy.

Your snowman is adorable! I may have to give in and do that BOM. I have so many UFO's I was trying not to start another BOM project.
The weatherman is predicting a snow storm for us tomorrow night into Tuesday. Better get gas for the snowthrowers.
Happy sewing, stay warm, be careful shoveling.

It's been wintery here in New Mexico too. Doesn't make for going out in that bitter cold very inviting.
Love the snowman...truely a winter creature;)
Happy Quilting!!
